Through the Voguing Workshop, participants will learn basic elements of hand performance and catwalk with their variations. In performance, the hands of the performer are very expressive and often tell a story, and throw shade while creating lines, circles, and waves… The catwalk is a transitional element of the performance. In the workshop, participants will learn what is the concept of a runway and how to move through the space in a catwalk position. The way you combine these two elements is what makes your style unique and fabulous. This is an open-level workshop and safe queer space. In the discussion, dancers will share their experiences from past functions and give space to participants to ask questions.
